The Fore ESX-3000 is a medium big Enterprise and Backbone Switch with up to 168 10/100 Ethernet ports or up to 12 ?? or more Gigabit fiber ports.

We did buy one in Dez 2004 to evaluate, what a Pentium Pro 200 as the main heart can do.

With that hardware center, we dont expect to much.

	The ESX-3000 is the last Ethernet switch from Fore. The midrange switch was, as the others, designed for reliable ATM transfer in the topmost backend trunks.
